NIPSCO, with support from the NiSource Charitable Foundation, is now accepting applications through July 18 for its Public Safety Education and Training Action Grant, offering $500–$5,000 to support safety-focused programs and training across northern Indiana.

Grants of $500–$5,000 are available for nonprofits and first responders in northern Indiana to support public safety education and training. Apply by July 18 through NIPSCO’s Your Cause portal.

Surf Internet has reached 200,000 fiber-optic passings across Indiana, Illinois, and Michigan, doubling its coverage since late 2023 and expanding high-speed internet access—especially in rural areas—with plans to reach 75,000 more locations by the end of 2025.

Surf Internet has been awarded $1.17 million through Indiana’s Connectivity Program to expand high-speed fiber-optic broadband to 245 rural addresses and 2,500 nearby homes and businesses across 16 Northern Indiana counties.
